 Question of the Day -

Read the article, "A Debt-Free Degree," and respond to the following prompt:
  • After reading the article, discuss some of the pros and cons of the "Pay It Forward" proposal in Oregon.  Then, argue the value (or lack thereof) of the program using evidence from the article.
  • You must use at least two quotes and two other pieces of evidence (summary or paraphrase of article information) in your response.
  • Once you post your response, please respond to two of your classmates ideas.  
Tips for quoting from a source:
  1. Sentence starters: 1) In the article, the author states;  2)  The author explains that; 3) ...says the author.
  2. First time you mention author, use full name.  Second time, just use last name.
  3. Quote format:  In the article, the author states, "here is the quoted information"(Author Last Name, page #).
Tips for using information from source (summary or paraphrase):
  1. Write info in own words.
  2. Cite source by adding this to last sentence of paraphrase or summary:  Paraphrase paraphrase paraphrase (Author Last Name, page #).
